We are deeply committed to sourcing fair-trade, sustainably and ethically harvested ingredients for every product we create. This commitment has required months of research and careful partnership-building, and we are proud to craft our formulations using ingredients that support small-scale agriculture, honor traditional practices, and make responsible use of existing resources to reduce environmental impact.

Below you’ll find some of the foundational botanicals and base oils that give our products their nourishing, restorative character.

Tallow

One of our most cherished soap making ingredients, tallow has been used for centuries to support smooth, resilient, well-moisturized skin. Rendered from nutrient-dense suet, tallow closely mirrors the natural lipids found in healthy human sebum, allowing it to condition deeply while respecting the skin’s protective barrier.

We render our tallow in-house, over low heat, using suet sourced directly from a small, local family farm. Their grass-fed cattle are humanely raised, free to roam, and never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones. By utilizing suet, often discarded in conventional processing, we reduce waste and honor the full value of the animal.

Naturally rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, and K, along with antioxidant vitamin E, tallow contributes to firm, long-lasting bars of soap and deeply conditioning balms. Our tallow is never bleached, deodorized, hydrogenated, or otherwise altered.

Olive Oil

Long revered in traditional skincare, olive oil is abundant in antioxidants and polyphenols that help support supple, radiant skin. Its moisturizing and conditioning properties make it a foundational ingredient in many of our formulations.

Rich in vitamins A, K, and E, olive oil penetrates beautifully to soften dry skin and promote a smooth, even appearance. Its gentle, skin-loving nature makes it suitable for both cleansing and moisturizing applications.

Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil provides a rich, cleansing lather while helping skin feel soft and hydrated. Naturally high in saturated fatty acids and antioxidants, it supports the skin’s moisture barrier and contributes to the hardness and longevity of our soaps.

Its gentle purifying qualities make it a valuable addition to balanced, effective cleansing formulas.

Unrefined Shea Butter

Our unrefined shea butter is minimally processed to preserve its full spectrum of beneficial compounds, including natural antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Deeply moisturizing yet non-comedogenic, shea butter helps improve the feel of dry or uneven skin while contributing to a creamy, luxurious texture in both soaps and cremes.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter lends richness, structure, and lasting moisture to our soaps, salves, and cremes. Naturally abundant in fatty acids and antioxidant vitamins A and E, it melts into the skin to leave it soft, supple, and protected.

Its velvety consistency enhances both lather and texture, creating a beautifully indulgent skin feel.

Marula Oil

Extracted from the kernels of the marula fruit, this lightweight oil has been treasured in Southern Africa for generations. Exceptionally high in oleic acid and naturally rich in antioxidants, marula oil absorbs easily while helping to support skin hydration and softness.

Our virgin, unrefined marula oil is ethically harvested and contributes a refined, silky finish to facial formulations.

Argan Oil

Often called “liquid gold,” argan oil is harvested from the nuts of the argan tree native to southwestern Morocco. Rich in omega fatty acids and naturally occurring antioxidants, this rare oil helps support elasticity and enhance the appearance of smooth, nourished skin.

Our virgin, unrefined argan oil is ethically sourced through cooperatives that support traditional harvesting methods and women-led communities.
